Remote Associate Attorney - New Jersey Litigation

Job Overview

Duties

• Represent clients in all phases of litigation, including initiation, expert discovery, and resolution in professional liability and labor/employment matters.



• Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences, while negotiating with opposing counsel to settle claims.



• Conduct complex legal research, draft discovery requests and responses, motions, pleadings, affidavits, and legal memoranda.



• Review discovery responses and depositions, preparing summaries, litigation update reports, and providing ongoing legal analysis and advice to clients.

Requirements

• Must be admitted to the New Jersey Bar with a strong familiarity with New Jersey law and civil procedure.



• Previous experience in civil litigation is required, with a preference for candidates experienced in drafting discovery, leading depositions, and arguing motions.



• Excellent writing, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of New Jersey.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).



• Proficiency in LexisNexis legal research software.



• Strong client communication and case management capabilities.
