A law firm seeks a Casualty Litigation Attorney to join its team in Tarrytown, NY. This role offers a hybrid or remote work arrangement within a mid-sized, regional practice specializing in general liability, professional liability, and toxic tort matters. Duties

• Manage and litigate casualty, general liability, and professional liability cases from inception through trial or settlement.


• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail.


• Collaborate with team members on case strategy, discovery, and client communications in a fast-paced environment.


• Track billable hours and maintain accurate case files using firm management systems.


 

Requirements

• Current and active Bar membership in good standing in PA, NJ, NY, DE, MD, DC, and/or CT.


• Prior experience in casualty litigation is preferred, though candidates with relevant transferable skills are encouraged to apply.


• Superior written and oral communication skills with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.


• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail, with the capacity to multitask effectively.


 

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.


 

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in at least one of the specified jurisdictions (PA, NJ, NY, DE, MD, DC, or CT).


 

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).


• Experience with LexisNexis and familiarity with Case/File Management systems.


• Ability to track billable hours and manage time efficiently.
