Duties

• Manage an assigned caseload with appropriate oversight.
• Represent clients in Family Law matters, including divorce and child custody.
• Appear at hearings, trials, mediations, and conferences.
• Communicate with clients regarding case strategy and status.
• Conduct legal research and analyze relevant statutes and case law.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
• Prepare witnesses and evidence for hearings and trials.
• Negotiate with opposing counsel and participate in mediations.
• Collaborate with paralegals and legal assistants.
• Assist with Criminal Defense and Personal Injury matters as needed.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar.
• 2-4 years of legal practice experience.
• Interest in developing a Family Law practice.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Comfortable appearing in court and advocating for clients.
• Strong oral advocacy and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Professionalism and sound judgment in communications.
• Detail-oriented and accountable for assigned matters.
• Successful completion of a background check.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active Texas Law License.
