Job Overview

A law firm seeks a motivated Litigation Associate with 3+ years of practical experience to join its Houston, TX office. The ideal candidate will support all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trials, while managing a high-volume caseload in a teamwork-driven environment. Occasional travel within the state, including air travel, is required.

Duties

• Support all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trials.



• Manage a high-volume caseload with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.



• Collaborate with team members in a collegial, down-to-earth atmosphere.



• Travel within the state as needed, including occasional air travel.

Requirements

• Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.



• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.



• Strong analytical and writing skills are required.



• Ability to work well in a teamwork-driven environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of Texas.

Skills

• Practical litigation experience of 3+ years.



• Insurance defense experience is a plus.



• Jury trial experience is a plus.



• Highly organized with strong time management abilities.
