A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of experience in complex commercial litigation, handling cases through all phases of litigation. Duties

• Handle litigation matters through all phases, including pre-litigation strategy and post-trial proceedings.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests and responses.
• Conduct and defend depositions, and prepare witnesses for hearings.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic analysis on disputes.
• Appear at hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit preparation and coordination with experts.
• Collaborate with partners, senior associates, and clients to develop litigation strategy.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and vendors to advance cases.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
• 3-7 years of complex commercial litigation experience.
• Experience drafting and arguing dispositive and non-dispositive motions.
• Experience taking and defending depositions and managing cases through discovery and trial preparation.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines independently.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
