Job Overview

A law firm seeks a recently admitted Litigation Attorney in Los Angeles, CA, to join their plaintiff personal injury team. The successful candidate will work closely with the litigation team, gaining hands-on experience in managing personal injury cases from inception to resolution.

Duties

• Draft complaints, discovery, motions, and oppositions.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery; engage with opposing counsel.
• Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.
• Conduct legal research under the California Code of Civil Procedure and Evidence Code.
• Communicate with clients regarding case status and strategy.
• Manage deadlines and calendars with case managers and paralegals.

Requirements

• J.D. and recent passage of the California Bar Exam (active license or pending admission).
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Litigation clerkship or law clerk experience at a law firm preferred.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

• California Bar Exam passage (active license or pending admission).
