Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Commercial Litigation Associate in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will manage all phases of complex commercial litigation, including factual investigations, discovery, pleadings, depositions, motions, and mediation. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, exceptional judgment, and the ability to handle multiple projects under pressure.

Duties

• Conduct factual investigations and manage discovery processes for complex commercial disputes.



• Prepare pleadings, argue motions, and take depositions in state and federal courts.



• Participate in mediation, arbitration, and administrative matters as needed.



• Communicate effectively with clients and articulate legal strategies and courses of action.



• Second-chair trials or arbitrations when required, demonstrating proactive and dynamic legal work.

Requirements

• Three to six years of experience in all phases of complex commercial litigation.



• Active bar license in Delaware or Illinois, or commitment to obtaining one promptly.



• Experience in both state and federal court is preferred.



• Experience in administrative matters and arbitrations is beneficial.



• Second-chair experience at trial or arbitration is preferred but not required.

Education

• Excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar admission in Delaware or Illinois (or commitment to obtain).
