Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Litigation Associate in Boston, MA, to join its growing litigation team. Duties

• Manage a diverse caseload from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.



• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials while developing comprehensive litigation strategies.



• Conduct focused legal research and draft well-crafted memoranda to support case strategy and client guidance.



• Maintain proactive communication with clients, providing regular status updates and strategic advice.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of prior civil litigation experience with a strong background in Massachusetts state and federal courts.



• Proven ability to take and defend depositions and lead discovery processes effectively.



• Strong advocacy skills with proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions.



• Self-starter with the ability to perform thorough legal research and manage multiple priorities.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Massachusetts State Bar.

Skills

• Expertise in professional liability, commercial and business litigation, product liability, employment and labor, and environmental and toxic torts.



• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with partners and colleagues.



• Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and courtroom advocacy.
