A law firm seeks an experienced Trial Lawyer to join its growing personal injury team in Wilmington, DE. This role involves representing clients throughout Maryland and requires an active Delaware Bar license. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong courtroom skills, proven litigation experience, and a deep commitment to client service.

Duties

• Represent clients in personal injury matters from initial litigation through settlement or verdict.



• Draft and file litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, and legal memoranda.



• Conduct and defend depositions while handling mediations, hearings, and trial proceedings.



• Lead trial proceedings, including jury selection, opening/closing statements, and examinations.



• Collaborate with paralegals and litigation support staff to ensure thorough case preparation.

Requirements

• Active membership in the Delaware Bar, in good standing.



• 2+ years of litigation or trial experience in personal injury or related areas is preferred, though training is available for those with less experience.



• Strong negotiation, advocacy, and courtroom skills.



• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Delaware Law License.
