Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced E-Discovery Attorney to join its team in San Francisco, CA. This role focuses on managing complex litigation and investigation workflows, advising stakeholders on eDiscovery strategies, and implementing technology-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Duties

• Manage eDiscovery processes for complex, global litigations and internal investigations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.



• Develop and refine workflows for eDiscovery review platforms, incorporating data analytics tools such as TAR and predictive coding.



• Advise legal, compliance, and investigation stakeholders on eDiscovery issues, strategies, and ESI protocols.



• Support case teams with eDiscovery-related negotiations, motion practice, and the creation of standard documentation.



• Identify and implement improvements to eDiscovery policies, procedures, and training materials to enhance speed-to-evidence.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience managing eDiscovery in complex litigations and investigations.



• Strong understanding of current eDiscovery law, jurisprudence, and evolving technologies.



• Hands-on experience with eDiscovery platforms (e.g., Relativity, Everlaw) and data processing procedures.



• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from inception to completion while identifying continuous improvements.

Education

• JD required.

Certifications

• Admission to the California Bar is required.

Skills

• Demonstrated understanding of the relationship between eDiscovery and related disciplines such as Information Governance, Data Privacy, and IT.



• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.



• Proactive approach to onboarding, training, and advising clients on best practices.
