Job Overview

A law firm seeks a California-licensed Counsel Attorney to join its Mass Torts Practice Group in Walnut Creek, with a preference for Los Angeles or San Francisco locations. Remote work arrangements are also considered. This role focuses on silica, asbestos, and talc litigation, offering the opportunity to manage complex matters with a high degree of autonomy while collaborating with experienced litigators.

Duties

• Handle all phases of complex mass tort litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.


• Manage assigned cases independently while collaborating closely with a team of experienced litigators across offices.


• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and colleagues to advance case strategy and outcomes.


• Travel periodically for depositions, court appearances, and other necessary proceedings as required by case needs.


 

Requirements

• Must be licensed to practice law in California and be in good standing with the State Bar.


• Willingness to travel periodically for depositions, court appearances, and other proceedings as necessary.


 

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.


 

Certifications

• Active California State Bar license.


 

Skills

• 2-5 years of litigation experience with excellent written and oral advocacy skills.


• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and across teams.


• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage complex caseloads.
