Job Overview

A law firm seeks a California-licensed Counsel Attorney to join its Mass Torts Practice Group in San Francisco, with a preference for Los Angeles or San Francisco locations. Remote work arrangements are also considered. This role focuses on silica, asbestos, and talc litigation, offering the opportunity to handle complex matters across all phases of litigation while collaborating with experienced litigators.

Duties

• Manage assigned mass tort cases with a high degree of autonomy, handling discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.


• Collaborate closely with a team of experienced litigators to advance complex matters and ensure effective case strategy.


• Travel periodically for depositions, court appearances, and other legal proceedings as necessary.


 

Requirements

• Must be licensed to practice law in California and be in good standing with the State Bar.


• Willingness to travel periodically for depositions, court appearances, and other proceedings as required.


 

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.


 

Certifications

• Active California State Bar license.


 

Skills

• 2-5 years of litigation experience with excellent written and oral advocacy skills.


• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and colleagues.


• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively across teams and offices.
