Family Office type investor with many different matters and new ones always popping up. Seeking attorney, preferably experienced in MedMal (Home Health Aide/nursing home) or Personal Injury, wrongful death, elder care or similar situations/causes of action. If you do a good job on this, I also always have new emerging personal and business, real estate (Landlord/Tenant), international trusts/asset protection, securities, tax and other legal matters. If you’re also licensed in NJ and/or NV, I can give you even more matters to work on. Current NY attorney’s health issues escalated and looking to add New York attorney to nationwide legal team to handle multiple issues in multiple jurisdictions.

Almost completely remote work except for occasional required appearances. You should have at least been a licensed attorney-at-law to practice law in New York at some point. If you do not have experience in MedMal, the rate will be adjusted downward. If you’ve been permanently or temporarily disbarred or censured or can only work as a law clerk because of this, but have the above requested experience, that’s ok with explanation as long as you are reliable, and hourly rate will be further adjusted downward. If currently licensed, malpractice insurance is preferred.

On average I estimate it’s probably a few hours of legal work/week, but you know how this type of work is… hurry up and wait. Some weeks will be a lot more than that and some weeks will be nothing. There are always new matters coming up. This is not a full-time job. The freedom of this type of schedule/work is best for someone who already has at least a couple other long-term clients or starting their own practice. You will sign my retainer agreement.
