Labor and Employment Senior Associate

Profile

Our client, a nationally recognized Am Law firm, is seeking a Senior Associate (5+ years) to join its Labor and Employment practice in Los Angeles. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to handle sophisticated employment litigation and counseling matters for a diverse client base.

About the Role

The Senior Associate will manage a caseload of employment disputes and provide strategic counseling to employers on compliance and risk management. This role offers significant client contact, leadership opportunities, and a clear path for advancement within a nationally recognized practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Defend employers in single-plaintiff and class action litigation, including wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination claims


• Represent clients in administrative proceedings before the EEOC, DFEH, and other agencies


• Provide day-to-day counseling on employment policies, handbooks, and compliance matters


• Draft and negotiate employment, severance, and settlement agreements


• Mentor junior associates and contribute to practice development

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in labor and employment law, with a focus on litigation


• Strong writing, advocacy, and client counseling skills


• Experience managing cases and working directly with clients preferred


• Licensed to practice in California

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $220-$275k, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
