Research Associate II
The candidate will be responsible for evaluation, processing, negotiation and administration of sponsored research contracts and awards with industry, non-federal and non-US sponsors with a particular emphasis on tax and compliance issues; generally with no supervision. As needed, supervise, train and mentor Research Associate I or contract specialists. Negotiate complex intellectual property clauses in research contracts. Maintain current knowledge of contracting practices, applicable regulations, business and technology trends as it relates to GT contracting units. Respond to inquiries and provide direct contractual services and guidance to faculty, staff and students on sponsored research agreements related to non-governmental contracts including review, analysis and interpretation of new contract awards. Serve as a liaison to outside sponsors of research at Georgia Tech. Represent Georgia Tech at conferences and higher ed associations. Perform other related duties as assigned.
