Description

The Manager, Vendor Management works as liaison between vendors and organization. The Manager, Vendor Management works within specific guidelines and procedures; applies advanced technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems; receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines approach, resources, schedules and goals.

Responsibilities

The Manager, Vendor Management reviews and negotiates terms of vendor contracts and communicates with vendors to regarding day-to-day matters. Builds and maintains positive relationship with vendors and monitor vendor performance. Researches invoice and contractual issues and resolve discrepancies. Decisions are typically related to resources, approach, and tactical operations for projects and initiatives involving own departmental area. Requires cross departmental collaboration, and conducts briefings and area meetings; maintains frequent contact with other managers across the department.

Must Haves


Bachelor's Degree
Minimum 2 years of experience leading direct reports
Vendor Management experience in the healthcare/clinical setting
Proven process/performance improvement skills
Progressive operational experience
Leadership experience over a large metric-intensive operational unit
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong facilitation skills
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences


Nice to Have


Master's Degree
Certification with Six Sigma and/or the Project Management Institute
Prior experience working in a call center environment
Knowledge of Medicare Advantage
Grievance and Appeals experience
