A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney to join its growing remote team in San Antonio, TX. The firm specializes in civil defense litigation, including insurance defense, labor and employment, personal injury, products liability, and workers' compensation. This role offers a collaborative environment for an independent legal professional to manage a diverse caseload from inception through resolution.

Duties

• Manage a full litigation caseload, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal correspondence.



• Conduct comprehensive legal research, perform case analysis, and take or defend depositions.



• Attend virtual and occasional in-person hearings, mediations, and trials while maintaining effective communication with clients and opposing counsel.



• Meet billing targets and adhere to strict case management expectations in a fully remote setting.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of litigation experience, with defense experience preferred.



• Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain high-quality output in a remote environment.



• Strong analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in Texas.

Skills

• Experience in one or more practice areas such as insurance defense, labor and employment, personal injury, products liability, retail and hospitality, toxic tort, transportation, or workers' compensation/nonsubscriber defense is a plus.



• Proficiency in managing caseloads independently with attention to detail.
