A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney in North Palm Beach, Florida. This role involves managing a diverse civil litigation caseload with a focus on Estate Planning, Probate, Trust Administration, Guardianship, and Elder Law matters. The firm offers mentorship and training for attorneys looking to expand their practice areas within a collaborative environment.

Duties

• Independently manage civil litigation matters from initial strategy through discovery, mediation, trial, and final resolution.


• Prepare, draft, and review pleadings, motions, memoranda of law, and discovery materials for hearings and trials.


• Advocate effectively in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials, including emergency proceedings.


• Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and third parties to advance case strategy and resolve matters.


• Delegate assignments to support staff, review work product, and maintain accurate time-keeping records.


• Participate in client development, networking, and professional growth initiatives to support firm expansion.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of substantive civil litigation experience, including independent case management.


• Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar.


• Exceptional legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.


• Strong organizational abilities with experience managing multiple priorities and critical deadlines.


• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and legal technology platforms.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to practice before the U.S. District Courts in Florida is preferred but not required.

• Sound professional judgment and ability to exercise appropriate independence.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a commitment to client service.


• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


• Experience with legal practice-management systems is preferred.
