A law firm seeks a high-performing tort defense attorney to join their insurance defense group in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will possess strong research and drafting skills, organizational and problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively. Trial experience is also desired.

Duties

• Manage caseload from inception to conclusion.
• Draft motions and memoranda.
• Appear in court for conferences and oral arguments.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Draft and respond to discovery demands.
• Conduct risk assessments, counsel clients, and draft status reports.
• Negotiate settlements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 to 9 years of experience in tort defense.
• Strong research and drafting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively.
• Trial experience preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar license (preferred).
