Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Financial Services Partner to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. The successful candidate will bring a portable book of business and possess strong client and case management skills. Admission to practice in a jurisdiction where the firm has an office is required, with Florida Bar admission preferred. This role offers the opportunity to work with seasoned attorneys in advising and defending financial services organizations and individuals.

Duties

• Manage arbitration, litigation, and regulatory matters from inception through resolution.
• Communicate directly with clients, providing strategic guidance and regular updates.
• Collaborate with attorneys across offices and practice groups on financial services matters.
• Consult with clients on compliance issues to assist in meeting legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Admission to practice in the state of residence is required.
• Admission to practice in Florida preferred.
• 10+ years of financial services litigation experience.
• Strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational, case management, and interpersonal skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the state of residence.

Skills

• Experience handling FINRA, AAA, and other arbitration proceedings.
• Experience responding to FINRA, SEC, and state regulatory investigations and enforcement actions.
• Experience defending financial services professionals in state and federal court actions.
• Experience representing insurance agents in professional liability claims.
