Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Financial Services Partner in Torrance, CA. The successful candidate will join a dynamic Financial Services and Institutions Practice, bringing a portable book of business and strong client management skills. Admission to practice in a jurisdiction where the firm has an office is required, with a preference for Florida Bar admission.

Duties

• Manage arbitration, litigation, and regulatory matters from inception through resolution.
• Communicate directly with clients, providing strategic guidance and regular updates.
• Collaborate with attorneys across offices on financial services matters.
• Consult with clients on compliance issues to meet legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Admission to practice in the state of residence is required; Florida preferred.
• 10+ years of financial services litigation experience.
• Strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational, case management, and interpersonal skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the state of residence; Florida Bar preferred.

Skills

• Experience with FINRA, AAA, and other arbitration proceedings.
• Experience responding to FINRA, SEC, and state regulatory investigations.
• Experience defending financial services professionals in court actions.
• Experience representing insurance agents in professional liability claims.
