Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Attorney with 2-4 years of litigation experience for its insurance coverage practice group in Miami. This thriving practice represents US and foreign insurance companies in complex, high-value, and high-profile coverage litigation and market conduct matters throughout the United States.

Duties

• Analyze insurance policies, draft coverage opinions, and provide coverage recommendations for clients.



• Conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis, or Nexis to support case strategy.



• Draft interrogatories and document demands for litigation proceedings.



• Review documents in preparation for litigation and attend depositions, hearings, and mediations as required.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice in Florida.



• 2-4 years of litigation experience.



• Strong academic credentials, including Law Review and/or Honors.



• Exceptional legal research and writing skills.

Education

• Law degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of Florida.

Skills

• Proficiency in legal research databases such as Westlaw, Lexis, and Nexis.



• Experience with commercial general liability, commercial property, errors and omissions, and directors and officers matters.



• Ability to analyze complex insurance policies and draft precise coverage opinions.
