Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Labor & Employment Associate for its Fort Lauderdale, Florida office. The ideal candidate will bring 2-5 years of litigation experience across a broad spectrum of employment matters, including Title VII, FMLA, ADA, and FLSA. This role requires strong writing skills, substantial experience in HR counseling and training, and the ability to practice in federal and state courts as well as before agencies such as the EEOC and DOL.

Duties

• Represent clients in federal and state court litigation involving employment disputes.



• Advise on and manage claims before the EEOC, DOL, and other federal and state agencies.



• Provide comprehensive human resources counseling and conduct training programs.



• Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence with precision and clarity.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of solid litigation experience in a wide array of employment matters.



• Experience handling Title VII, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and state counterpart litigation.



• Substantial experience in human resources counseling and training.



• Proven ability to practice effectively in both federal and state court settings.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Florida Bar membership is required.
