Job Overview

A law firm seeks a real estate associate with 3-5 years of experience to join its Real Estate Practice Group in Miami, FL. The role involves supporting a national hospitality and leisure practice by representing hotel and resort owners, developers, investors, and operators in sophisticated transactions.

Duties

• Negotiate hotel management agreements and handle acquisitions, dispositions, and financings for hospitality properties.



• Advise developers on condominium, branded residential, mixed-use, and master-planned community projects.



• Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, licenses, loan documents, easements, declarations, and CC&Rs.



• Manage the full lifecycle of transactions, from structuring and diligence through development, operation, and disposition.

Requirements

• Substantive experience with hotel and hospitality transactions or developer-side experience with complex residential projects.



• Ability to manage multiple transactional workstreams effectively while maintaining sound judgment.



• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills with a focus on direct client interaction.

Education

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active member in good standing of the Bar in the jurisdiction(s) where admitted to practice.



• Timely admission to the Bar of the state where the hiring office is located is required as a condition of employment.

Skills

• Experience with real estate development and joint venture transactions is preferred.



• Proficiency in advising on sophisticated mixed-use projects and drafting related legal instruments.
