A law firm seeks a Data Privacy, Cybersecurity, and AI Associate in Saint Louis, MO. This role offers an opportunity to join a dynamic practice advising leading companies on complex privacy, cybersecurity, and AI issues. The associate will work directly with clients across various industries, providing compliance counseling, incident response, and regulatory investigation support.

Duties

• Advise on GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws.
• Develop privacy and cybersecurity compliance programs.
• Design workflows for consumer rights requests.
• Advise on AI governance and emerging regulations.
• Support data security incident response.
• Advise on ad tech compliance and digital marketing strategies.
• Support privacy aspects of M&A and commercial transactions.
• Assist with regulatory inquiries and investigations.

Requirements

• Three to six years of experience in data privacy, cybersecurity, or AI matters.
• Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and emerging AI laws.
• Experience with incident response or AI governance preferred.
• Active bar license in the state of application or eligibility for admission.

Education

• Excellent academic record required.

Certifications

• CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, or AIGP certifications preferred.

Skills

• Superb writing and negotiating skills.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to translate complex legal requirements into business advice.
• Proficiency in generative AI legal research tools.
