Duties

• Advise clients on tax aspects of project development, acquisitions, financings, joint ventures, and other complex transactions.
• Provide guidance on federal tax credits and incentives, focusing on renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
• Support sponsors, developers, investors, and lenders in navigating tax implications for energy-related matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, client alerts, and transactional documents.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in federal income tax matters.
• Experience advising on renewable energy, infrastructure, or other energy-related transactions is preferred.
• Admission, or eligibility for admission, to the bar in the jurisdiction of the office in which the candidate is located.
• Strong analytical, writing, communication, and client service skills.

Education

• Law degree from an accredited institution with excellent academic credentials.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

• Interest in building a practice at the intersection of tax law, energy, and project finance.
• Familiarity with federal tax credits and incentives applicable to renewable energy projects.
