A law firm in New Haven, CT, seeks a motivated Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. This role involves managing a diverse caseload across medical malpractice, personal injury, and immigration law, offering direct client contact and significant hands-on legal experience under the mentorship of senior attorneys.

Duties

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, demand letters, immigration petitions, and legal briefs.



• Represent clients at depositions, court hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and immigration proceedings.



• Review medical records, analyze expert reports, and gather supporting documentation for complex cases.



• Conduct initial client consultations and maintain consistent communication throughout the legal journey.



• Perform thorough legal research on federal immigration regulations, state tort law, and evidentiary rules.

Requirements

• Active license to practice law in the State of Connecticut and in good standing.



• 0 to 2 years of relevant legal experience preferred; entry-level applicants with strong clinical or internship experience are encouraged.



• Exceptional written and verbal communication, research, and analytical skills.



• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines across multiple practice areas.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Connecticut law license.
