**A Day in the Life**
Developing high-speed digital video processing systems
Defining the direction for new products, processes, standards, or operational plans based on business strategy with a significant impact on work group results
Maintaining electrical designs throughout the development life cycle by updating drawings and design documentation to the latest national and international standards
Circuit simulation and analysis, schematic entry, layout of PCB oversight, protocol development, and testing
Working with a cross functional engineering team to troubleshoot complex system issues
Working in an FDA controlled product development environment
Providing input to departmental planning and resource activities
Presenting project status to management and teams
**Must Haves**
Bachelors Degree and 7 years of Engineering experience OR advanced degree and 5 years of experience
**Nice to Have**
Experience with DVI, HD-SDI, and low-latency transcoding applications
Some experience with Verilog or VHDL and FPGAs
High speed signal simulation in both pre-route and post-route environments
Proficient with lab tools such as scopes and analyzers, video waveform monitors as well as probing techniques
Ability to work in a team environment and desire to lead/mentor other engineers
Experience with Cadence ORCAD and Allegro tools
Solid working knowledge of quality and regulatory requirements, plus experience dealing with regulatory agencies or outside professional groups (e.g. FDA, ISO, ANSI, HIMA)
