Product Manager - People Analytics and Measurement
Who You'll Work With
You will be based in one of our U.S. offices as the People Analytics and Measurement (PAM) dedicated product manager.
McKinsey's PAM team designs and executes projects supporting the firm's people mission to build a great firm that attracts, develops, excites, and retains exceptional people. The team develops insights and identifies actions around key strategic people issues at the firm. The team works in a highly collaborative and agile environment and partners with other teams within the firm to deliver meaningful analytics.
In this role, you will lead and contribute to key projects in multiple topic areas across the people function. You will work with a variety of internal clients, including the chief people officer, people committee, regional and office leadership, key initiatives and task forces, professional development and recruiting staff, and other communities within the firm. Additionally, you will be part of a product management guild where you will have ample opportunity to grow skills and further the craft of product management.
What You'll Do
You will manage the portfolio of self-service analytics products for internal People Analytics and Measurement (PAM) clients across the firm.
In this role, you will ensure PAM products are integrated into firm systems, McKinsey design system and business processes.
You will work closely with the designer and technology lead to assess scope and feasibility, manage technical development pace and set ambitious and clear goals for the development pod to achieve outcomes that matter.
You will work with clients, stakeholders and users to understand their needs, wants and problems and conduct experiments, user research, and test launches as part of a cross-functional group, to improve the product portfolio.
You will bring an agile/lean mindset to the team that leads to improved collaboration and use agile methodology to reduce uncertainty by working in short dev cycles.
You will contribute learnings back to the PAM family and wider firm communities, in the forms of professional development documents and knowledge sharing sessions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree with excellent academic record; advanced degree preferred
5 years of product development experience in agile environments
Proven record of managing complex work, involving various work streams, with cross-functional teams
Sufficient technical depth to comfortably engage in problem solving with technical members
Strong expertise in driving alignment in a non-hierarchical environment
Proven ability to work in and orchestrate high-performing product teams with individuals of diverse backgrounds
Integrity and professionalism in dealing with confidential information and sensitive data
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to synthesize input from multiple authors; ability to communicate clearly with partners and other firm leadership
