BI/Data Science Engineer Power BI

Profile

This is a remote role with travel to Sacramento, CA once every 2 weeks. Also, this is a 100% 4 months contract to Permanent role.
Skills required: Power BI or Tableau and SQL.
2 years of experience is required.
We are looking for a candidate who has worked extensively in the BI world and is interested in working on the data science side of things as well.
An ideal candidate will have a strong BI experience, working on SQL and any of the reporting tools (PowerBI #1 preference, Tableau or QlikView would suffice)
Some light programming with Python would be helpful
We are not looking for any specific data science skillsets but should have the willingness to learn and explore data science techniques.
This role will be a 50-50 split between BI and data science.
Day in the life:
Work extensively with the business team
BI (helping on scripts, programming etc.)
Writing data
Almost half of it will be getting introduced to and working on data science projects
