Staff Attorney
The candidate will handle legal research and writing, motion work for appeals and filings when applicable, motions to reopen or reconsider, and filing and drafting immigration forms and petitions. The attorney may draft affidavits and perform country condition research required for EOIR and USCIS submissions. The candidate will gain strong substantive knowledge of immigration court procedure, filing, and understand workings of an immigration firm. Relatedly, the position will require attendance to duty matters, including requesting criminal documentation, medical records, and other law clerk or paralegal duties associated with one's caseload and that of the firm. Follow-up with courts, agencies, and requests are expected related duties. Spanish language fluency is a plus, but not required. An interest in immigration, criminal, or family law preferred. The firm is willing to train the right candidate. Experience in immigration is preferred, but not required.
