Job Description
Orion Assembly - For us the the future in now. We are an assembly plant at the cutting edge of product and manufacturing processes, and recently GM announced Orion would be the second electric truck plant in in the US producing the all electric Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra.
You will be responsible for operations, maintenance and repair of plant equipment. This work requires the ability to make decisions based on established procedures and is of a technical nature using independent judgment within the limits of GMS; focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE). You will have some direct mentorship received from supervisors.You will lead the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities aligned with standard GM maintenance systems, and conduct appropriate checks and tests and communicates evaluation of results in addition to the following responsibilities:


Will assist the Paint Maintenance Planner with being the Maintenance and Manufacturing support Group Leader responsible for normal group leader roles such as Kronos, 71 sheet updating, vacation planning, green book updates etc.These maintenance group leader roles would be in addition to process engineer jobs that would come from the whole shop in a variety of jobs.


Requirements:


BS in Engineering, journeyman trades or other equivalent experience preferred.
