The candidate will assist Immigration Attorneys and accredited reps with the intake process as well as with the preparation of immigration benefit applications. Support the work of the lead attorney(s) or DOJ Accredited Representative on cases. General referral and advocacy support for individuals and families. Preparation of individual client’s case materials. In person and phone intake interviews. Information gathering and research. Translation of case documents. Occasional night and weekend work may be required. Should have Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years prior experience working as a paralegal or in a law practice . Knowledge of/ability to grasp basic concepts of immigration law and willingness to expand knowledge in this area is required. Should have fluency in Spanish (speaking, reading and writing). Excellent writing skills are required.
