University Title IX Coordinator / Specialist Assist. Vice Provost
The candidate oversees the University's response, obligations and responsibilities to Title IX Complaints, including dating violence, domestic violence and stalking; identifies and addresses patterns or systemic problems and manages the Title IX Policy and processes, ensuring that it is accurate and updated. Provides annual data in partnership with the Title IX Coordinator for Students and oversees compliance efforts of other campus delegates, departments and offices. The University Title IX Coordinator serves as principle contact for government inquiries. Ensures processes are in place for adjudication, appeals and/or third party complaints for delivery in a timely manner and reviews and ensures the Title IX policy, procedures, protocols and practices are compliant with Title IX regulations. Works in partnership with the Director of Title IX and Title IX Coordinator for Students, and works collaboratively and provides consultation as needed with the entire University enterprise. The University Title IX Coordinator develops and delivers Title IX training programs. He/she collaborates with the Faculty Committee on Prevention and the respect program. The University Title IX Coordinator serves on various university committees, as appropriate, or as directed by the Vice Provost for Equity and Inclusion. Must have Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of progressively responsible experience which includes Title IX compliance administration, complaint resolution and investigation of grievances and/or related policy administration experience. A J.D. or other related advanced degree is strongly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to interpret Title IX and other non-discrimination laws and regulations. Administrative experience in higher education or a non-profit organization is desirable.
