Deputy Title IX Coordinator

Duties: Receive, process, and review with Assistant to Chancellor/Title IX Coordinator any inquiries and complaints of sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual violence or other sexual misconduct from the campus community and third parties in a timely manner, providing for a fair and equitable process for both the complainant and respondent. Develop and implement a case management plan and investigation plan for each reported Title IX incident. Gather and secure relevant documentation. Keep accurate and thorough records and notes of investigatory process. Provide on-going updates to Office of Equity, Access & Diversity and Director of Student Conduct & Community Standards. Work with the Director of Student Conduct and Community Standards or the Director of Human Resources to initiate the disciplinary process. Provide information and trainings about the sexual misconduct policy and Title IX process to faculty, staff, and students in order to comply with OCR mandates. Continuously identify and integrate best practices in the Title IX investigation arena into knowledge base and practice. Stays abreast of current movements in field of investigation and on changes to Title IX, Campus SaVE Act, and any other legislations or regulations by participation in professional community; building relationships with colleagues at peer institutions; reviewing current literature and research; attending professional conferences or participating in local, regional, or national profession al association and organizations.
