Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Trademark and Copyright Litigation Associate to join its team in Omaha, NE. The ideal candidate will possess three to seven years of experience, with a strong preference for those based in or willing to relocate to the Nashville office. This role involves handling a broad spectrum of intellectual property matters, including domestic and international trademark portfolios, TTAB proceedings, and copyright disputes, while collaborating closely with the Financial Services & Capital Markets business unit.

Duties

• Manage large domestic and international trademark portfolios and handle proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).



• Resolve trademark and copyright disputes, including domain name conflicts under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP).



• Lead anticounterfeiting enforcement efforts, draft and respond to demand letters, and provide litigation support.



• Oversee copyright registration processes and manage trademark and copyright licensing and technology agreement work.

Requirements

• Three to seven years of experience in trademark litigation and TTAB proceedings is a threshold requirement.



• Hold an active bar license in the state corresponding to the office location or commit to obtaining one promptly.



• Demonstrate exceptional judgment, superior interpersonal skills, and the ability to articulate legal strategies effectively.



• Show a proven record of working well under pressure and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Education

• Excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar license in the relevant state.
