Legal Specialist
The candidate must be enrolled in the program gain critical academic skills in studying, test-taking and writing, in addition to self-confidence, an awareness of college level expectations and interaction with role models to encourage and nurture their educational and professional goals. Responsibilities: Provide managerial support to the Executive Director and the LLI Site Administrators located in six cities at eight law schools throughout the state of Ohio; Provide staffing support to the Executive Director and LLI Board including board committees as well as volunteer and student support groups; Provide content for LLI’s website and communications within social media outlets; Assist Executive Director in the development and execution of the Diversity in Leadership Fellowship; Develop and implement attorney mentoring program; Advise Education Specialist on law-based portions of curriculum; Counsel instructors on implementation of law-based activities (i.e. mock trial, moot court, legal internships, etc.); Promote diversity within the legal profession among the staff and volunteers, encourage inclusivity in recruiting, engaging and retaining both professional staff and volunteers; and Accept and execute other duties as assigned.
