The candidate will ensure effective case management by providing legal services under the supervision of two attorneys. Will be preparing settlement demand letters in Plaintiff’s personal injury cases. Coordinating discovery in cases on behalf of both Plaintiffs and Defendants. Scheduling conferences, appointments and depositions. Communicating with clients. Maintaining calendar and contacts for attorneys. Requesting discovery, both formal and informal (such as open records request). Preparing, typing, editing and proofreading legal documents, including briefs, motions, memorandums, discovery, etc. Knowledge of State and Federal court filing, including e-filings. Submitting billing invoices. Should have excellent interpersonal skills, good organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines in a fast paced environment. Should have 2 years of experience in either Plaintiff’s personal injury litigation or insurance defense litigation.
