Immigration Paralegal Part-time
The candidate assists in preparing documents for clients before USCIS, and limitedly the SF Asylum Office. The paralegal will provide legal research and manage a individual caseload (with supervision from program attorneys); conducts immigration information sessions for the immigrant community, media, and service providers; develops informational materials on immigration law; keeps abreast of changes in immigration law; engages in community building; assists with recruitment of and delegation of work to interns and volunteers; assists with government funding and other fundraising and ensures that legal immigration work is consistent with agency mission. The Immigration Program Paralegal’s work is reviewed by the Immigration Program Attorneys.
