Title IX Investigator
The candidate will be responsible for conducting prompt, thorough and impartial investigations of complaints alleging discrimination based on gender or sex. Investigates student, employee and third party cases of, sexual misconduct, sexual harassment, dating and domestic violence, and stalking. Develops a comprehensive investigation plan for each investigation. Makes recommendations on policy violations and prepares detailed, written reports. Assists the Title IX Coordinator with the development and implementation of training programs for faculty, staff, and students on Title IX and other related topics. Collaborates with multiple university divisions and units. Promotes prevention, education, and awareness about Title IX to the university’s students and employees. In addition, performs other duties as assigned. Should have Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a relevant discipline. Should have 2+ years of demonstrated experience in conducting investigations alleging discrimination based on gender or sex, including sexual harassment, sexual assault, and sexual misconduct or equivalent experience in conducting investigations alleging protected class discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, or in conducting law enforcement investigations. Experience and training regarding conducting sensitive and confidential investigations alleging discrimination based on sex. Knowledge of and ability to interpret federal and state laws regarding Title IX or discrimination based on protected statuses. Should have Master’s or law degree from an accredited college or university. Should have 5+ years of experience as an investigator. Experience working with college students or in a higher education setting.
