Profile

Supervisor, Security Operations and Response will lead a team of skilled cybersecurity professionals in detecting and defending against attacks within a 24x7 Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC) environment. The Supervisor will ensure the CSOC is consistently operated in a professional manner while leading “Blue Team” efforts in network monitoring, detection, and mitigation. The Supervisor will also lead to Incident Response efforts for escalated security alerts. This is a great opportunity to move into a leadership role while staying technical. Be a leader in an important mission protecting critical network infrastructure and grow your cybersecurity career with a forward-thinking organization.  Primary Responsibilities: Ensure a high level of staff performance and adherence to playbooks and best practices.Coordinate incident response efforts with internal stakeholders.Coordinate team shift coverage and resolve gaps.Facilitate communications with NOC (Network Operations Center) partners.Monitor and react to DDoS and other external attacks against internet-facing services.Initiate Incident Response Playbook as necessary.Advise and inform senior leadership with status updates.Recommend updates to CSOC playbooks and procedures.Perform security dashboard reviews to maintain awareness of the environment.Lead active threat hunting initiatives.Assist in the performance tuning of security tools.Assist and mentor junior CSOC Analysts.  Experience and Requirements: 3 years of experience in a Cybersecurity Operations environment or 5 years in Information Security.Prior experience leading a team of highly skilled professionals preferred.Sound knowledge of Cyber Kill Chain, Incident Response processes, and attacker methodologies.Sound knowledge of network and operating system technologies.Experience with SIEM, DDoS, IDS, EDR, or other network monitoring technologies preferred.Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and critical thinking ability. Ability to lead a team-oriented CSOC environment.Willing to lead a shift assigned to nights and/or weekends in a 24/7 SOC environment.At least one of the following security certifications is preferred: CISSP, CompTIA CySA , SANS GIAC GCIH, GCIA, GMON, GCED.
