Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Corporate Tax Attorney in Dallas, TX, to join its Tax practice. The ideal candidate will possess four to eight years of experience advising individual and business clients on complex tax matters, including planning, corporate formation, and transactional structures. This role requires an LL.M. in taxation and active state licensure.

Duties

• Advise clients on tax planning, corporate formation, deal structures, acquisitions, dispositions, mergers, and restructurings.


• Manage federal and state tax implications, choice of entity decisions, and interactions with taxing authorities.


• Navigate federal tax audits, administrative appeals, and state and local tax compliance matters.


 

Requirements

• Four to eight years of relevant experience in tax law and business transactions.


• Active license to practice law in the state where the office is located.


• Ability to function independently and collaboratively within a team environment.


 

Education

• LL.M. in taxation is required.


• Strong academic achievement is expected.


 

Certifications

• Current state bar admission.


 

Skills

• Experience with cross-border matters and complex business transactions.


• Strong client interaction and self-starter mentality.
