Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Patent Litigation Associate to join its expanding Intellectual Property team in Stamford, Connecticut. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated commercial and IP matters within a collaborative environment.

Duties

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and conduct legal research for complex patent disputes.


• Take and defend depositions, manage discovery, and prepare for hearings and trial.


• Manage competing deadlines while building strong client relationships and case strategy.


 

Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience in commercial or intellectual property litigation.


• Experience in patent litigation is preferred; candidates seeking to deepen this practice are encouraged.


• Membership in good standing in the jurisdiction where the associate will practice.


 

Education

• Law degree required; a bachelor's degree in engineering or a scientific field is a plus.


 

Certifications

• Admission to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is preferred but not required.


 

Skills

• Strong writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.


• Ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues in a hybrid environment.
