Job Overview

A law firm seeks a junior associate with 2-3 years of real estate finance experience to join its Real Estate Finance Practice Group in New York, New York. This role offers significant client interaction, hands-on deal experience, and a clear path to advancement within a dynamic and growing practice.

Duties

• Originate mortgage, mezzanine, construction, and bridge loans for securitization, syndication, and balance sheet executions.



• Structure, negotiate, and close conduit and single-asset/single-borrower CMBS transactions, including loan assumptions, modifications, and restructurings.



• Negotiate complex purchase and sale transactions involving diverse property types for acquisitions and dispositions.



• Represent banks, financial institutions, private equity funds, and other market participants in sophisticated transactions.

Requirements

• Demonstrated knowledge of lending and financing structures, including familiarity with CMBS and balance sheet loan executions.



• Excellent academic credentials and a strong foundation in legal principles.



• Ability to handle significant client interaction and manage hands-on deal responsibilities.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar is preferred.
