Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Associate Litigation Attorney to join its New York, NY office. This role offers flexible work arrangements, including full remote, hybrid, or onsite options, within a collegial and collaborative environment focused on general liability, professional liability, and toxic tort matters.

Duties

• Manage and execute complex litigation matters from inception through trial or resolution.


• Draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and correspondence with precision.


• Conduct legal research and analyze case law using LexisNexis and other databases.


• Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies and manage client expectations.


• Track billable hours and maintain accurate records in case/file management systems.


 

Requirements

• At least 7 years of litigation experience, with opportunities for less experienced candidates noted separately.


• Current and active New York Bar membership in good standing.


• Superior written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail.


• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).


 

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.


 

Certifications

• Active New York State Bar License.


 

Skills

• Experience with LexisNexis and case/file management systems.


• Strong organizational and time management capabilities.


• Ability to track billable hours accurately.
