Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Employment Litigation Associate for its San Francisco, CA office. This role involves defending employers in complex employment disputes and providing strategic counsel on labor and workplace law matters.

Duties

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges.



• Advise, counsel, and train employers on various employment and labor law issues to mitigate risk.



• Represent employers in court, arbitration, administrative agencies, and mediations.



• Handle class/collective actions and matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, contract, employment tort, and non-compete cases.

Requirements

• 4-9 years of experience with a strong background in employment law.



• Current California Bar admission in good standing.



• Excellent written and oral communication skills with a commitment to excellence.



• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational and project management skills.

Education

• JD from an ABA accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.

Certifications

• Active California Bar License.

Skills

• Understanding of current state and federal agency procedures.



• Attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.



• Class Action/PAGA experience is preferred but not required.
