Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its commercial and real estate litigation practice in Austin, TX. The firm represents businesses and individuals in complex disputes, handling matters from initial strategy through trial, appeal, or resolution. This on-site role offers the opportunity to manage cases independently while collaborating closely with senior partners.

Duties

• Research legal issues, analyze case facts, and develop comprehensive litigation strategies.


• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, briefs, and settlement agreements.


• Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, and participate in negotiations and mediations.


• Communicate directly with clients and manage deadlines across multiple concurrent matters.


 

Requirements

• Hold a JD from an accredited law school and possess an active Texas law license.


• Demonstrate at least three years of litigation experience in Texas state courts.


• Exhibit strong research, writing, and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.


• Ability to manage multiple matters independently with a high degree of professionalism.


 

Education

• Doctor of Law (JD) from an accredited law school.


 

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of Texas.


 

Skills

• Experience with cross-border matters or prior law firm/clerkship experience in commercial or real estate litigation is preferred.


• Strong client communication and case management capabilities.
