Duties

• Handle all stages of estate planning and trust administration.
• Manage client intake and relationships.
• Draft, review, and modify estate planning documents.
• Advise on wealth transfer and asset protection strategies.
• Implement strategies for reducing estate and income taxes.
• Prepare and review technical memoranda on estate tax issues.
• Consult on complex estate planning matters with the team.
• Research client issues and propose solutions.
• Review and monitor work of paralegals and legal assistants.
• Experience with court appearances is advantageous.
• Corporate experience is beneficial.
• Evaluate fraudulent transfer and voidable transactions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Foreign language skills are a plus.
• Real estate experience is a plus.
• Evaluation of fraudulent transfer and voidable transactions is a plus.
• A book of business is preferred but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Bar admission in New York State.
