Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its litigation team in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will be licensed and in good standing in Texas, with a minimum of two years of experience as a practicing attorney. Preference will be given to candidates also licensed in Georgia, Alabama, or Mississippi. The role involves title review, curative responsibilities, and foreclosure tasks across Texas, with a focus on real estate law and creditors' rights.

Duties

• Manage a caseload of contested and uncontested matters for mortgage lenders and investors.
• Appear in court for motions related to foreclosure, eviction, and title disputes.
• Communicate regularly with clients for updates and case resolutions.
• Analyze loan files and title reports, drafting motions and discovery responses.
• Review title examinations and recommend solutions for title issues.
• Execute title curative actions and review foreclosure documents for compliance.
• Maintain strong relationships with insurers, vendors, and team members.
• Update case management systems accurately and timely.

Requirements

• J.D. degree, licensed in Texas, and in good standing with the Texas Bar.
• Minimum two years of experience in real estate and title review/curative.
• Knowledge of Texas Title Standards and Mortgage Foreclosure Law preferred.
