A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its expanding Long-Term Care practice group in Tampa, Florida. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced litigators, contribute to case strategy, and build strong client relationships within a growing team environment.

Duties

• Represent and defend clients in hearings, trials, and depositions.



• Communicate effectively with clients, providing consistent updates and comprehensive legal advice.



• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare legal documents and discovery responses.



• Collaborate with partners and associates to build and execute successful defense strategies.



• Participate in case strategy development while working closely with experienced litigators.



• Develop and maintain strong relationships with firm clients.

Requirements

• Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.



• 0-5 years of insurance defense experience.



• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.



• Strong interest in attending trial and utilizing litigation skills.



• Ability to develop and execute defense litigation strategies and exercise sound judgment.



• Effectively manage case responsibilities and collaborate with team members.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
